Sheis survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Ila Mae and Clyde Burcham of Woodlawn; Agnes and Peter Eanes of Salem; Necie and Luther Burnett of Austinville; one son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Rosa Lee Akers of Galax; two sisters, Nannie Frazier and Susie Smith, both of Austinville; one brother, Roosevelt Mabe of Austinville; ten grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; several step great grandchildren. Funeral was at 2 p.m. March 28, at the Coulson Church of the Brethren with burial in the Mabe Cemetery.
