Fred Lee Barrow, 66, of Casa Grande died on Aug. 16, 2011, at home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia, Texas.

Mr. Barrow was born on March 19, 1945, in Texas and was a son of Maebelle and Leroy Barrow Sr. He served in the Army and worked as a nurse for 35 years. He received a degree in nursing from California Polytechnic State University and was chairman of a nursing association in Long Beach, Calif. He retired from VA Long Beach Medical Center. He enjoyed travel and was a chef. He also participated in an international adopt-a-child program.

Survivors include four sisters, and five brothers.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Francis Collins, Bessie Irwin and Ruby D. Barrow, and two brothers, Adolophus and Leroy Barrow Jr.
