Elena "Nena" Archibeque, age 74, a longtime resident of Algodones, NM, passed away on Monday, December 7, 1998.
Elena was born the daughter of Elias and Ricardita Valdéz Archibeque on August 16, 1924 in Barelas, NM.
Elena had been a custodian for the Bernalillo Public Schools before retiring.
Elena was preceded in death by her husband, Mauricio and one grandson, Ray Anthony Arellanes.
Elena is survived by three children, Ivan Archibeque and his wife, Pamela of Albuquerque, Lorella Trejo and her husband, Salvador of Algodones and Larry Archibeque and his wife, Twila of Bernalillo, two brothers, George Archibeque of California and Arthur Archibeque of Belén, one sister, Stella Miera of Albuquerque, four grandchildren, Carleen Atencio, Jessica, Renee and Claire Archibeque.
A visitation and Rosary will be held this evening, Wednesday, December 9, 1998 at 6:30 p.m. with the Rosary being recited at 7:45 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church with the Mass of Resurrection on Thursday, December 10, 1998 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo, with Fr. Virgil Furfaro as the Celebrant. Interment will follow in Vista Verde Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Arthur Archibeque Jr., Rick Miera, Frank Archibeque Jr., Ben Lovato Jr., Dr. Chris Miera and Albert Vallejos. Honorary pallbearers will be Frances Vallejos, Yolanda Trujillo and Wanda Walters.
