Walter W. Crane, 68, a Callaway County well drilling contractor, died unexpectedly at his home five miles north of Jefferson City Saturday morning. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
He was born in Cole County Jan. 26, 1885, the son of Brumley and Sarah Crane. On Aug. 5, 1926, he was married to Bertha J. Doss, who survives.
Mr. Crane was a member of the Christian Science Church.
Other survivors include two step children, G.E. Doss of Odessa, Tex., and Mrs. G.L. Morrison of Blue Springs; and two sisters, Mrs. Ed Spalding of Eldon and Mrs. W.M. Acton of St. Louis.
Funeral services will be held at 8 pm Monday at a local funeral home. Reader Joseph Harriman and the Rev. C.W. Dorman officiating. Burial will be in a Eugene cemetery.
