Married Martha Hueston (b. OH)
Father of two
Hotel keeper - opened a resort known as the Albumar Hotel in White Lake, MI, in the 1890s. It was formerly a mill boarding house for the Charles Mears Lumber Mill. It was the first resort in the White Lake area to be electrified, power being generated by the waterfall. Guests were also attracted to the site because they could keep their boats anchored in the well protected harbor by the point. The grounds of the property were converted into a playground, where guests could play croquette, tetherball and tennis.
