Carmine was born March 10, 1925 to Carmine and Carmina Priolo in Duluth.
He worked for Priolo and Sons Construction for many years, and retired from the Duluth Air Base as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He served as an Army Sergeant in World War II from 1943-45. He was decorated with two bronze stars, two purple hearts, and fought in the Pacific Theatre. Carmine met his spouse Dorothy at the roller-skating rink; they were married June 18, 1949 together they raised eight children in Duluth. They continued to roller-skate together for many, many years. Carmine also served as a volunteer with the Solway Volunteer Fire Department for 20 years, and was a member of St. Rose Parish in Proctor. Carmine was a very warm, loving and generous man, a loving father and grandfather, his wonderful smile and vibrant personality touched the lives of everyone he met.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Dorothy; brother Theodore; two sisters, Catherine Slocum and Mary Sue Wisocki.
Carmine is survived by his children, Richard (Marie) Priolo of Minneapolis, Cheryl Nordby of Chicago, Ill., Mary Sue (Tim) Utt of Duluth, Steven (Nancy) Priolo of Saginaw, Minn., Nancy Priolo of Hanover Park, Ill., Robert (Elizabeth) Priolo of Duluth, Allen (Janet) Priolo of Duluth, James (Kathleen) Priolo of Twin Lakes, Wis.; 19 grandchildren, Gianna, David, Mark, Chad, Jeremy, Janelle, Christopher, Jayme, Stephanie, Steven, Brandon, Charissa, Nicholas, Thomas, Michelle, Ross, Jaclyn, Kristina, Brian; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia Norlander, Rose Langlois both of Duluth; extended family and friends.
Carmine and Dorothy were cremated, their ashes were blended and buried together.
