Ray HANCHER Rites Today

WINTERS, June 7 (RNS) - Ray HANCHER, 64, longtime area farmer, 64, died at 2:15 a.m. Friday in a San Angelo hospital following surgery for treatment of a blood clot.

Mr. HANCHER was injured in an auto accident in San Angelo Tuesday and was given emergency treatment at Shannon hospital and released. He was admitted Wednesday for emergency treatment of a blood clot and died due to complications following surgery.

He was born Jan. 10, 1893, in Hendricks County, Ind. He came to Garza County with his parents in 1920. A farmer, he had lived on a farm between here and Bradshaw most of his life. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Spill Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be W. R. JOHNSON, and elder in the local Church of Christ, with burial to be in the Bradshaw cemetery.

He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Ella BIGHAM and Mrs. Bertha SCHWEIR, both of Dallas; and three brothers, Lawrence of San Angelo, C. D. of Dallas and Charlie of San Antonio.
