Singleton, Mary Margaret Age 78, of Elgin passed away on Friday June 17th, 2011 following a long illness. She was born July 28th, 1932 in Elgin, IL. She was the daughter of Albert and Grace Sommers. She graduated from Elgin, H.S. in Elgin, IL. She worked at Dukane in St. Charles and Roth Drugstore. She married Charles "Red" Singleton on May 10th, 1954. Once they started their family she became was a full time homemaker. She spent her entire life in Elgin and she dedicated her life to her family. She loved reading, collecting music boxes, gardening, vacationing in Wisconsin, and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband Charles "Red" Singleton, their 5 children; Rick (Audrey) Singleton of North Carolina, Sue (Steve) Shigley of Hampshire, IL , Tom (Tammy) Singleton of Hampshire IL, Gary (Laura) Singleton of Elgin, and Pam Singleton of Bourbonnais, IL. Grandchildren; Tasha (Singleton) and Luke Hall, Tarah (Singleton) and Chase Ziller, Tegan (Singleton) Jigz Flojo, Charly (Singleton) and Jason Avant, Kyle Singleton, Kelsey Singleton, Katelyn Singleton, Konner Singleton , Elsie Singleton , Ryan Shigley, Eric Shigley. Great grandchildren; Elianna Avant, Landon Ziller, Colton Ziller, Raidyn Hall, Hailey Hall, and Logan Luke Hall (deceased). Her brother Jim Sommers. She is preceded in death by her parents Albert and Grace Sommers, one brother and four sisters.
