RITA CLAIRE ENGELKES of Orlando, FL - she was the daughter of James and Mary Ann Ryan. Rita was a nurse and a WWII, U.S. Navy veteran. She was a founding member of Holy Family Catholic Church as well as Mary, Queen of the Universe Basilica and worked many years at Florida Manor Catholic Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest L. Engelkes and is survived by daughter, Mariann (Paul) Bonnewitz. A Funeral Mass will be held August 20, 2011 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Orlando. Arrangements entrusted to Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home.
