Note - In original report Aug 2011 of the moving of this historic house the news media reported alot of inaccurate information and while doting on the fact it was owned by the Firestone family, details were glossed over that a historian would find interesting. Per article a family friend of Firestones, Beatrice Webber, last lived there about 2004.

NORTH LIMA — The historic Firestone mansion was destroyed in a fire early today, the cause of which is being investigated by the State Fire Marshal’s office.
Beaver Township firefighters responded to a call at 3:44 a.m. to the house on Lipply Road.
“When the fire department units arrived on scene, the building was completely gone. The roof was already gone. The second floor had fallen onto the first floor,” fire Chief Russ Osborne said.
Osborne said the house was unoccupied and empty because the owners were in the process of restoring it. There were no injuries.
The Springfield Township Fire Department assisted.
