Peggy Irene Blackburn White, 72, of Cordova, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2011, at Cordova Health and Rehab. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27, 2011, at Kilgore-Green Chapel. Burial will follow at Bennett Cemetery. Joe Tulley and Gary Robinson will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, July 26, 2011, at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, W.C. and Irene Blackburn; brothers, Jim Blackburn and Neal Blackburn; sister, Rebecca Gurganus; son, Oscar Roberson Jr.; and grandson, Christopher Bray.
She is survived by her husband, Albert J. "Jack" White; daughters, Mackie Sweeney (Steve), Brenda Cain and Jennifer Tollett (Kirk); sons, James F. Roberson and Jimmy Roberson; grandchildren, Lisa, Misty, Matthew, Brandon, Brannigan, Braddock, Stevie, Hunter, Christy, Tiffany and Holley; brothers, W.C. Blackburn Jr., Jay Blackburn, Lonnie Blackburn and Roger Blackburn; sisters, Jewel Arker, Billie Boteler and Lisa Frey; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
