Mrs. Frances Elizabeth (Boaen) Turner passed away on Tuesday January 22, 2013 at Augusta Gardens assisted Living Community. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Cecil W. Turner, sister, Eva Barefield, and brother Milton Boaen. A licensed practical nurse, Frances was employed with Gracewood State School and Hospital 22 years before retiring in 1990. Frances is survived by four children- Beth Newsome and husband, Royce, of Evans; David Turner and wife Linda, of Augusta; Diane Knight Huff and husband, Ken; and Nancy Palmer and husband, Jeff, both of Waynesboro; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by two nephews, J.L. Glisson (jackie) and Bobby Glisson (Phoebe). Frances was a member of First Baptist Church, Waynesboro, and the Spares and Pairs Bible study class. She was a volunteer at Burke Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church, 853 North Liberty Street, Waynesboro on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11:30 with visitation one hour prior to the service. Dr. G. Al Wright, Jr., pastor of First Baptist, will officiate. Interment will follow at Burke Memorial Mausoleum. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Spares and Pairs Bible study class. If so desired and in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 853 North Liberty Street, Waynesboro, GA 30830 or Edmund Burke Academy. P.O. Box 787. Waynesboro, GA 30830.
