Died 3:45 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, 1988, at Riverwest Medical Center, Plaquemine. She was 72, a native of Bayou Chene and resident of Plaquemine. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, noon to 10 p.m. Monday, and 8 a.m. to religious services at 10 a.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Leon Carpenter and the Rev. Seab Young. Burial in Grace Memorial Park. Survived by husband, Wade J. Allen, Plaquemine; two daughters, Mrs. Douglas (Louanna) Persilver, Bayou Sorrell, and Mrs. Claiborne (Julia) Simoneaux, Port Allen; three sons, David W. Allen, Baton Rouge, Glenn D. Allen, Port Allen, and Michael A. Allen, Plaquemine; four sisters, Vivian Adams, Morgan City, Corrine Curry, Franklin, Goldie Stockstill, Plaquemine, and Freida Larson, Lafayette; eight brothers, Olden, Arbury, Amos, Clarence, E.J. and Murphy Curry, all of Franklin, Evans Curry, Centerville, and Floyd Curry, New Iberia; 18 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Edwin and Julia Allen Curry; and a sister, Elvina Carline. Pallbearers will be David W. Allen, Glenn D. Allen, Michael A. Allen, Claiborne Simoneaux, Douglas Persilver and Murphy Curry. She was a member of Bayou Plaquemine United Methodist Church.
