Freda Heavenridge, 70, 6176 Abington Pike, died Sunday, June 16, 1996, at Reid Hospital, after a long illness.
She was born July 15, 1925, in Hazard Ky., to Gus and Effie Smith Johnson and had lived in this area most of her life. She had worked at Avco and Bartel Overalls.
Survivors include her husband. Byron Heavenridge, whom she married Sept. 5, 1953; one stepson, James R. Heavenridge of Logan County, W. Va.; one stepdaughter, Jennifer Kircher of Eaton, Ohio; one grandchild; one sister, Veda Jones of Hamilton, Ohio; nieces and nephews.
Service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, at the Mills Funeral Home in Centerville, with the Rev. Bud Parrish officiating. Burial will be in Abington Cemetery. Friends may call fro 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, at the funeral home.
