M. W. Allen's House Burns.

Tuesday morning at about 10 o'clock fire brook out in the roof of M. W. Allen's residence and despite the efforts of the citizens who gathered it was soon in ashes except the front veranda and the kitchen. All the furniture, though considerably damage, was saved. The house was valued at about $4000 and was covered by insurance to the amount of $1500. It is supposed the fire caught from a spark on the roof. No one was hurt.
Mr. Allen was very grateful for the prompt assistance of his friends.

January 27, 1904:

Capt. Bob Moore has moved into the Lunceford house, a few blocks north of the square, and M. W. Allen has moved into the house vacated by him.

AND...

July 13, 1904:

Col. E. M. Oliver and Mr. Mose Allen have exchanged premises. Mr. Allen will move into his new quarters about Sept. 1st and Col. Oliver contemplates building on the Allen lot.
