Louella Ellison, 92, went home to be with the Lord on April 27, 2000. She was born Jan 14, 1908 in Sumrall, Miss., the oldest of nine children born to Levi and Martha Russell. She lived in the Akron area since 1925. Louella worked in the tube room at Goodyear for three years and as a sales clerk for O'Neil's department store for 15 years and as a charter member of the Akron Baptist Temple and was a Sunday School teacher for many years. Louelle was preceded in death by her daughter, Josephine; grandson, John Ellison; and granddaughter, Diane Dixon. She is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Willard; son and daughter-in-law Jim and Margie Ellison; daughters and son-in -law, Dorothy Appleby, Barbara Dixon, Joann and Richard Hood; sisters, Mary Daley of California, Edith Strabac of Ravenna; Katherine Simpson of Washington; brother, levi Russell Jr. of Florida; grandchildren, Ken Ellison, Melissa Eldridge, Bill Appleby, Beth Lucas, Debbie Bennett, Don Dixon, Valeri Hood, Kimberly Hood, Tracy Bergdorf; and 11 great-grandchildren.
