Funeral services for Pauline E. Beardsley, Santa Fe, N.M., are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at the Norwood Funeral Chapel in Idabel with W. W. Starnes officiating.

Beardsley, who died Thursday in Santa Fe, was born May 5, 1912 in Waco, Tex. She was a beautician many years and a member of the First Baptist Church in Durant.

She is survived by two brothers, Raymond E. Beardsley of Santa Fe and GuyB. Beardsley of New Orleans.

Burial in Wheelock Cemetery near Millerton is under the direction of Norwood Funeral Home of Idabel.

Pauline E. Beardsley was born May 5, 1912 in Waco, Texas (McLennan County), daughter of Samuel Worley Beardsley (1857-1923) and Rachel Catherine Thorpe Beardsley (1874-1940).

Pauline's parents each had been married before marrying each other and they both had children by the earlier marriage. Katie and Samuel ultimately would have four children together: Guy Benjamin Beardsley, born December 15, 1902 in Texas; Nira Beardsley, born circa 1906 in Texas; Pauline Beardsley, born May 5, 1912 in McLennan County, Texas; and Raymond Edward Beardsley, born September 26, 1914 in Texas. Pauline had two half-siblings by her father's earlier marriage, Bessie Beardsley and George Beardsley, both born in Texas; and one half-sibling by her mother's earlier marriage, Claudia Dewitt, born in Texas.

Pauline was only 11 years old when her father, Samuel, died. Samuel died September 14, 1923 and was buried in the Wheelock Cemetery in Millerton, Oklahoma (McCurtain County).

The 1930 Federal Census for Durant, Oklahoma (Bryan County) shows Catherine Beardsley, a widow, age 54, born in Indiana. Living with her were two children: Pauline E., a telephone operator, age 17, born in Texas; and Raymond E., age 15, born in Texas.

The 1940 Federal Census for Durant, Oklahoma (Bryan County) shows Catherine Beardsley, a widow, age 66, born in Indiana. Living with her were two children: Raymond E., an agriculture export clerk, age 25, born in Texas; and Pauline E., a beauty parlor operator, age 27, born in Texas.

Pauline's mother, Katie, died November 13, 1940 in Durant, Oklahoma (Bryan County) and was buried there in the Highland Cemetery.

Pauline died January 17, 1985 and was buried in the Wheelock Cemetery in Millerton, Oklahoma (McCurtain County) beside her father. Bio: TimelessSpirits
