Daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth (Fickes) Barley. Wife of Harry B. Barr.

Aged 28 - 2 - 20.

Altoona Tribune, 27 April 1888:

Harry Benton Barr, of Gaysport, on Wednesday evening last stole the march on his friends, and slipped quietly off to the town of Martinsburg that evening, and there said the words which initiated him into the circle of benedicts. The young lady who is now the blushing bride was Miss Ella M. Barley, of Ore Hill. The ceremony was performed at the parsonage by Rev. E. Dutt, pastor of the Martinsburg Lutheran Church. We congratulate the young couple and wish them joy and prosperity. Mr. Barr is an industrious young man and will make a kind and provident husband.

Gravesite Details

The lower part of the gravestone has another name, and appears to have the date 1889. It is apparently the infant child referred to in Ella's obit. The inscription is not readable.
