Rock Musician. Schuldiner is considered the 'Father of Death Metal.' He was inspired by acts like Venom and Slayer, as well as others in the movement of heavy metal music. In 1983 he formed the heavy metal musical group, 'Death' along with Randy Burns, Bill Andrews, Terry Butler, Paul Masvial, James Murpht, Sean Reinert, Chris Reifert, Bobby Koeldle, Rick Rozz, Steve Digiorgio, Gene Hoglan, and began recording demos in the basement of his Florida home. The band at first were only known in the metal underground through there demos and live concerts. There big success came 4 years later in 1987 when they released there debut album, 'Scream Bloody Gore' on which he played bass guitar, and vocals. Recording on the labels, Combat, Roadrunner, and Nuclear Blasts, they released other albums including, "Death Leprosy" (1988), guitar, vocals, "Spiritual Healing" (1990), guitar, vocals, "Human" (1991), guitar, vocals, producer, Fate: The Best Of Death" (1991), guitar, vocals, "Individual Thought Patterns" (1993), guitar, vocals, producer, "Symbolic" (1995), guitar, vocals, producer, and "Fragile Art Existence" (1999), guitar, producer, art director, designer. Their songs include "Intro: The Philosopher," "Internal Death," "Zombie Ritual," "Denial Of Life," "Sacrificial," "Mutilation," "Regurgitated Guts," "Baptized In Blood," "Torn To Pieces," among numerous others. Schuldiner also was a member of the band, 'Control Denied.' In 1998 Schuldiner was diagnosed with a brain tumor, in turn the band chose to disband so that he could receive the proper treatment and care he needed. He was soon too ill to do things on his own and his mother took care of him. The heavy metal music industry helped out by having live concerts and selling personal effects on Ebay.
