Mrs Buelah Lee Lucas, a long time resident of Tuttle, passed away Sunday, April 13, 1969, at the age of 79.
She was born 3/27/1890 in McCavit, TX. Mrs Lucas was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary #176, the Gold Star Mothers, Ladies Circle of the Christian church, & a member of the Christian church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harl Lucas and a son, Col. William A. Lucas. She is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs Clenard Wegener of Minco & Mrs Melba Justice of Dallas, 1 sister, Mrs Pearl Johnston of Tuttle, and 7 grandchildren, E.C. Wegener, Dr W.A. Lucas Jr, Mrs Malcom McDow, Bill Justic Jr, & Joe Justic. Music was furnished by a choir.
Services were conducted Tuesday, April 15, in the First Christian church with Bro Gene Segroves officiating. Pallbearers were Joe Hartin, Russel Hambleton, Stevie Chenoweth, Ernest Andrews, Claud Haywood, & Elmo Henderson. Interment was in the Fairview cemetery under direction of the Sevier Funeral home, Tuttle.
