Funeral services were held Wednesday at the First Christian church for Harl Lucas, 88, who died Monday in Grady Memorial hospital, Chickasha. He was born in Longton, KS, 9/9/1874 and came to Tuttle from Norman in 1938. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Baptist church. Gene Segroves officiated the service, assisted by Rev Alvin McConnell. Mrs Austin Vandament, accompanied by Mrs D.L. Cobble, furnished the music. Pallbearers were Claud Haywood, Virgil Gannaway, Steve Chenoweth, Joe Hartin, Howard Rich, & Russell Hambleton. Survicors include the wife, Beulah, of the home, 2 daughters, Mrs W.H. Justice of Houston, TX, & Mrs Clenard Wegener of Minco. Interment was in Fairview cemetery under the direction of the Sowers funeral home.
