Barbara Geiger was the 8th of 10 children born to Daniel Geiger and Marie Geiger (nee Lang) in 1866 in a tenament in Kleindeutschland, lower Manhattan.
She was close to her sisters, and several of them purchased graves right next to each other, so family could visit and say a prayer at thier memorials. These graves were in St. John's Cemetery in Middle Village Queens.
Barbara married William Hirsch.
William was a proprietor of an automobile garage in Queens.
The couple had one child, Mae Hirsch.
They are buried in the same grave, however, the front of the stone says "Delany" instead of Hirsch.
