Actor. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, he first gained attention in 1906, performing on the New York stage in the play "The Crossing". Moving from play to play, he was cast as leading man in "The Mind, the Paint Girl" (1912), followed by "Amazons" (1913) and "The Land of Promise" (1913). With his successes in theatre, he made his big screen debut in "Sapho" (1913). Performing between stage productions and films, many critics considered his role in "Under Orders" (1918), was his finest moment before he died at age 34, in New York City.
