Glenn C. Beamer, 72, of Fancy Gap, passed away Monday, March 31, 1997, at Northern Hospital of Surry County in Mt. Airy, N.C.
He was born in Carroll County on October 3, 1924. Surviving are his wife, Betty Beamer of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Gayle Beamer of Charlottesville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Don Smith, and Brenda and Dale Moore of Hillsville, and a brother, Rhudy Beamer of Mt. Airy, N.C.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 3, 1997, at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel, with interment in the Beamer Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel in Hillsville.
Flowers will be appreciated, or donations may be made to Pipers Gap Rescue Squad.
