Douglas Anderson, 50, lived in New Bedford, Brockton

BROCKTON - Douglas E. Anderson of New Bedford died unexpectedly Sunday. He was 50.
A son of Sandra Marie (Packard) Anderson of South Easton and the late Frederic Anderson, he was born March 22, 1957, in Grand Rapids, Mich.
He was educated in Brockton schools and was a 1976 graduate of Southeastern Regional High School in Easton.
Mr. Anderson lived in the Brockton area and spent five years in California before moving to New Bedford five years ago.
He was a self-employed artist and enjoyed computers, woodworking, jewelry making and stained glass.
In additional to his mother, he is survived by his brothers and sisters, Wayne E. Anderson of Bridgewater, David R. Anderson of South Easton, Bette J. Anderson of Brockton and Doreen M. Anderson of Scituate, R.I.; two nieces; a nephew; a great-niece; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A service will be held at noon Friday in Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Homw, 647 Main St.
