Henry was the son of Capt. Henry & Bethany Gibbs. He had 7 siblings: William, Bethany, John Bowers, Anna, Joseph, Benjamin and Ann Marie. Henry married Mary Chase February 11, 1813 in Somerset, MA. They had a son, John Chase Gibbs, almost 2 years later and she died 3 years after his birth. Henry then married "Nabby" and she died 4 years after Henry's first wife passed on. He then married Roby Gibbs. He predeceased her by 6 months, of cholera. They are all buried next to each other.
