CHILD FALLS INTO A TUB OF WATER AND IS DROWNED
Mildred, the year old daughter of John Finnell residing 2 miles west of Roscoe, was drowned, Friday afternoon about 3 o'clock when she fell into a tub of water while playing in the kitchen.
The child's setpmother and grandmother had stepped into the yard to talk with Isaac Smith of Roscoe who had just finished unloading some coal at the Finnell residence, and when they returned the little one was dead.

MOTHER DEAD
The mother of the child was Mrs. Alma Finnell who died several months ago in a state hospital in Columbus. After the mother's death Mr. Finnell's mother Mrs. Harriet Finnell took care of the baby until Mr. Finnell married again. The child's grandmother lives just a short distance away and was at her son's home when the accident occurred.

SECOND CHILD TO DROWN
A sad incident in connection with the detah of this child is the fact that this is the second member of Mr. Finnell's family to meet death from drowning. Several years ago a son Thomas was drowned in the canal. No funeral arrangements have been made yet.
