Mrs. Mary Deason - Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Lizzie Deason, 87, of 1905 Parker, were held at 2 p.m. today in Blackburn-Shaw Memorial Chapel with Dr. Jordan Grooms, pastor of the Polk Street Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers were Charles Barkley, Sam George, Jack Hudgins, Bill Utterback, Bill Lemons and Fred Warren. An Amarillo resident fo 54 years, Mrs. Deason died Thursday morning in St. Anthony's Hospital following a brief illness. She was a member of Polk Street Methodist Church, the Trulove Sunday School Class and the Women's Society of Christian Service. Survivors include two sons, three daughters, a brother, nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren.
