OBITUARY: "RITES WEDNESDAY" PATIENT HERE SINCE BREAKING ANKLE IN FALL 10 DAYS PRIOR.
10-12-1958: Miss Blanche Burright, 75, died Sunday afternoon at the Clarinda Municipal Hospital, where she had been a patient for the past 10 da ys after suffering a broken ankle in a fall at the family home at 400 E Nodaway in Clarinda.
Miss Burright was born Sept 14, 1883, in Page County near Norwich, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John D. Burright. For many years the family farmed between New Market and Gravity and a few years ago they retired to their home in Clarinda, Miss Burright had formerly been a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include her two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Kinney, formerly of College Springs and now living in Clarinda and Miss Addie Burright of Clarinda and an Uncle and an Aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Porter Eshbaugh of Rockford, ILL.
The funeral service will be held at the Foster-Harmom-Williams Mortuary Wednesday at 2 p.m. The Rev D.C. Davis, pastor of the Westminster United Presbyterian Church, will officiate interment will be in the family lot in the Shenandoah Cemetery.
