Oscar Boie, 90, was buried April 29th from St. Bernard's-St. Hedwig's Church, the Rev. John Puerner officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery. His pallbearers were six grandsons, Ron, Rich, Russ, and Gary Boie and Milton and Pat Timlin.
Mr. Boie, who died Saturday evening, April 26 at the Greenwood Home for the Aged, where he had lived for the past ten years, was born September 20, 1889 in the town of Worden, rural Thorp, where he lived and farmed most of his life.
He was married to Bertha Haas in Thorp on April 28, 1914. She died on December 4, 1950. On October 31, 1960, he married Elizabeth Leiby and she died April 12, 1964.
Survivors include one daughter, Alice (Mrs. Millard Timlin), Stanley; two sons, Harvey of Thorp and Byron of Milwaukee; one step-daughter, Agnella (Mrs. John Hanamann), Appleton, a brother, Harry, Thorp; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren
