Ethel L. Anderson of Virginia, IL and formerly of Hagener Township, died Friday, June 24, at her home.
She was born Feb. 1, 1927 in Schuyler County, IL, the daughter of Albert T. and Leura Eagle Walton. She married Robert M. Anderson on Feb. 12, 1944 in Beardstown in he preceded her death on Oct. 10, 2006.
Surviving are two daughters: Janice Kruse of Taylorville and Kay (husband Jim) Wagstaff of Murrayville; one grandson Robert (wife Kim) Kruse of Taylorville; one great granddaughter Holly Kruse and two step-great grandsons Jordan and Nick Foraker; a brother Albert (wife Donna Jean) Walton of Peoria; and two sisters, Anna (husband Wayne) Lowe of Virginia and Betta Browning of Perry. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and several brothers and sisters.
Ethel attended Cass County Schools. She was a homemaker and also loved sewing. She was of the Christian faith. Graveside services were held at 11 am Monday, June 27, at Beardstown City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials have been suggested to Bread of Love. Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown is in charge of arrangements.
