Grennette was my first cousin, she was my father's sister's daughter. She was a very loving and caring person. Gren or Big 50 as we called her was a lot of fun to be around. She use to have fish fries, card parties and would charter buses to take trips, they would go to all sort of places and she loved to go to the Casino's.
Grennette was employed by the City of Detroit Food and Friendship program, during her career and was instrumental in getting grants and equipment for all the centers she worked at.
Grennette died suddenly she had a massive heart attack while she was driving home from my sisters house where she was taking care of my nephew while my sister worked. She was an only child.
My Aunt Linda who was her mother never got over Grennette's death she just passed over in February of 2003.
