RENDON - Hugh E. Baker, a retired co-owner of B&B Tile Co., died Monday at a Fort Worth hospital. He was 83.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Laurel Land Funeral Home in Fort Worth. Burial will be in Laurel Land Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home.

Mr. Baker was born in Kyle's Ford, Tenn. He was a former resident of Lubbock County. He was a member of Southeast Side Lion's Club and enjoyed camping.

Survivors: Wife of 61 years, Berthene Baker of Rendon; son, Don G. Baker of Rendon; brother, Ike Baker of Idalou; five sisters, Susan Roberts of Greenville, Venus Courtney of Idalou, Kate Mabry of Petersburg, Dorothy Park of Fort Worth and Laura Stanton of Abernathy; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
