Edna E. Pawley, daughter of William and Eva (Wasson) Lawson, was born September 7, 1905, on a farm in Page County Iowa near Hepburn. She passed away Sunday, March 4, 2001, at Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital in Superior, Nebraska, at the age of 95 years, 5 months and 27 days.

Edna graduated from Des Moines High School. She married Walter R. Pawley in 1938. They owned and operated Pawley's Refrigeration Service in Lincoln, Nebraska, from 1938 until William's death in 1970. She moved to the Good Samaritan Center in Nelson, Nebraska, on January 3, 1994.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, William, on February 1, 1970; three brothers, Oscar, George and Guy; and two sisters, Pearl Ammons and Josephine Howard.

She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 7, 2001, at 10 a.m., at Megrue-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Superior with Father John Copenhaver officiating. Music was "Amazing Grace" and "How Great Thou Art" with Alicia Ferguson as soloist and Carlita Price as organist. Interment was in Wyuka Cemetery at Lincoln, Nebraska, at 1:15 p.m.

Pallbearers were Craig Hollister, Greg Drohman, Doug Grabast, Ivan Miller, Mike Miller and Arnold Miller. Megrue-Price Funeral Home of Superior, Nebraska, was in charge of the arrangements.
