Funeral services for Claude Jerry Maxwell, 83, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, from the chapel of Cookeville Funeral Home. Internment will be in the Cookeville Cemetery.
Family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, and again Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of the services at the funeral home.
Mr. Maxwell passed away Sunday, July 31, 2011, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center with his family by his side.
He was born Aug. 13, 1927, in Putnam County to the late Solon Jones Maxwell and Ruth Harris Maxwell.
Mr. Maxwell worked for many years with the Russell Stover Candy Company before his retirement. He was a member of the Holiday Church of Christ
His family includes his wife, Lois Mayberry Maxwell of Cookeville; a son, Earl Eugene Maxwell of Cookeville; and a daughter, Tammy K. Mayberry of Jackson County.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Maxwell was preceded in death by two sisters, Lucille Hale and Ruby Hargis; and a brother, J. B. Maxwell.
