Rosalinda was a registered radiological technologist for over 20 years and a dedicated health science technology teacher at Lopez High School for the past 10 years, where she touched and changed many of her student's lives. Rosalinda was a HOSA adviser and very involved with the HOSA Club in which she prepared her students for competition. Some of her students advanced and placed several times in the state and national competitions. She was well respected by her colleagues and students.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 23 years, Gerald "Jerry" Battles, and her two wonderful children, Jeremy Battles and Amanda Battles. She is also survived by her parents, Francisco and Maria (Linda) Gonzalez; brother, Jose Angel Gonzalez (Dora) of Brownsville; sister, Berta Cuellar (Ciro) of Portland Texas; mother-in-law, Oralia G. Battles; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was loved dearly by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.
Interment at Buena Vista Burial Park.
Serving as pallbearers Gerald Battles, Jeremy Battles, Jose Angel Gonzalez, Jose Angel Gonzalez Jr., Ciro Cuellar, Jaime Cuellar, Bruce Brooker-Key and Eric Alvear.
