Nancy was born and raised in a little Southern town in the part of Oklahoma that is called "Little Dixie". Her parents were Marshall Neel and Reba Pauline Flippen Glenn. They were Scotch-Irish Presbyterians with some Cherokee Indian on Reba's side. Wynnewood always had a very good football team and band. Nancy was in the band. She played the clarinet and was a twirler. She was chosen to be the drum major for her senior year. She played the part of Jane in their senior play "Jane Eyre". After high school, she went to college at East Central State. In 1967, Nancy married Gary Clampitt and they worked together to build homes and had a real estate company. Nancy had very good tastes so she did the design and decorating work. Nancy was a classical and flamenco guitarist. Nancy was a member of the UDC(David Johnston Glenn), DAR (Col Thomas Neel of SC), and the DRT(Mrs Mary Buchanan, her first husband, James died at the Alamo). Now she is with Jesus in Heaven, which is much better. Nancy's sister, Mary Neel, died when Nancy was one year old and she looked forward to seeing her and the other family members that she put memorials on Find A Grave and the Arkansas Gravestone Project for. Gary
