MARTHA A. ALTMAN, 72, Elderton, died Thursday, April 4, 1984, in the Indiana Hospital. The daughter of Charles H. and Alfleeta Reefer Meyer, she was born July 6,1912, in Plumcreek Township, Armstrong Township. Mrs. Altman was a member of the Fundamental Baptist Church, Indiana. She was a homemaker. Surviving are one son, Lamar, Shelocta RD 1; two daughters, Phyllis Hollis, Apollo; Sherrie Palmer, Beyer; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother Vernon Meyer, Indiana; two sisters, Marie Boyer, Apollo; Joanne Harbison, Johnston City, N.Y. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Leroy Altman, in 1964; an infant son, Henry Cloy, in 1931; one sister ,Thyra Fairman. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 79 p.m. today in the Clarence P. Clark Funeral Home, Elderton, where a service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Bob Knight officiating. Interment will be made in the Elderton Cemetery.
