Daughter of Jonathan Shuler Clower and Mahala Elliott Clower, Mary Lucretia Clower was born on 25 Apr 1855 in Bastrop, Morehouse Parish, Louisiana. She married 1) Lewis McQueen on 27 Mar 1875 in Bryan, Brazos County, Texas. Together they had two children, Lewis McQueen, and Roberta A. McQueen. Mary Lucretia then married 2) Hugh Fletcher Mackintosh on 10 Jun 1891 in Dallas County, Texas. Together they had one child, May D. Mackintosh. Mary Lucretia Clower McQueen Mackintosh died on 13 Feb 1947 in Austin, Travis County, Texas.

"Texas Resident 80 Years Dies - Mrs. Marly [sic] L. Mackintosh, Texas resident for eighty years, died Thursday while visiting in Austin.
Mrs. Mackintosh, 93, had lived with a daughter, Mrs. J. W. Pinson, 5627 Columbia Avenue. She was born in Bastrop, La., a sister of the late D. M. Clower, a pioneer in the Southwest electric and telephone fields. She moved to Dallas in 1888.
Services will be conducted by the Rev. J. Daniel Barron, Grace Methodist Church pastor, at 2 p.m. Friday at Chas. F. Weiland Undertaking Company chapel. Burial will be in Restland Memorial Park.
Other survivors are a son, Louis McQueen, Elizabeth, N.J., four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be W. M. Clower, J. D. Clower, Eugene Clower, Dr. Will Clower, J. D. Patterson and Frank Chinn."
