W. C. BLACKWELL
Walter C. Blackwell died at his home on South Church street about 7 o’clock Tuesday morning. He was 49 years of age at the time of his death, which was a result of the culmination of several months of poor health. Deceased is survived by his widow, Nora Blackwell, and the following children: Mrs. Della Meredith of Winston-Salem, and Mrs. Geneva Wright, Mrs. Annie Watkins, Mrs. Alpha Reece and Ed Blackwell, all of Gastonia. Surviving also are two brothers and two sisters, namely: William Blackwell, of Kings Mountain, and George Blackwell, of Gastonia; and Mrs. Betty Myers, of Kings Mountain, and Mrs. R. S. Sheppard, of Gastonia. Funeral services will be held at the home on Wednesday afternoon at 4 o’clock, conducted by Ensign W. H. Stanley, of the Salvation Army, who will be assisted by Rev. R. A. Christenbury, pastor of the Wesleyan Methodist church in Bessemer City. Burial will take place ...
