MANCHESTER - Dorothy M. Sessions, 86, of Manchester, Vt., passed away Sunday, July 24, 2011, at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington. She was born in Granville, N.Y., on June 3, 1925, the daughter of Barney and Bertha (Dennison) McGraw. She married Eber L. Sessions on September 21, 1942.
Dorothy worked as a housekeeper for Marion Gould Pleissner for over 40 years. She was one of the original charter members of the VFW Harned-Fowler Post 6471 Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her sons, Eber Lee Sessions Jr. and James Sessions and his wife Kathy, and her daughter, Joanne Sheen and her husband David, all of Manchester; five granddaughters, Doreen Sheen, Maxine (Mike) Ranney, Arlene Sheen, Jeanette Sessions and Helen (Peter) Pendlebury; and her great-grandchildren, Maggie and Seth Ranney and Jeremiah, Christopher and Brady Pendlebury. She was predeceased by her husband, Eber Sessions Sr.; her brother, James McGraw; and her sister, Catherine McGraw McDonald.
Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
