Dolores "Dodie" Gossett Gill was born in Mobile, Alabama on August 15, 1935 to Charles and Winnie Gossett. She left this world on July 27, 2011 in Katy, Texas.

Our Mom married our Dad, Charles E. Gill, Jr. on May 23, 1951. They became the parents to Beverly Gill Watkins, Carl Leslie Gill, and Barbara Gill Bash.

They had seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

When our Dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, our Mom took care of Dad without complaint. Dad's illness drained Mom but she insisted that she take care of him herself. At the end, we were finally able to convince her to allow others to help her.

After Dad passed away in 2009, we thought that Mom would have some time to do some of the things she liked and wanted to do, but that wasn't to be. Mom was diagnosed with COPD. It robbed her of her health and the ability to live life as she would have liked.

Mom was tired and hurting, she asked us to let her go be with God in his Kingdom and be with those she loved that had left her. We prayed that the Good Lord would take her gentley and without pain. He answered our prayers.

We love our Mother with all our hearts but we know she is with our Dad again, feeling no pain, hurting no more.
