J. T. Ravan, 81, of Inman, South Carolina, passed away Friday, August 10, 2007 at Mary Black Memorial Hospital, Spartanburg, South Carolina, after a brief illness.
Mr. Ravan was born in Inman, South Carolina, on October 6, 1925, the son of the late Theron R. and Bessie (Henson) Ravan and the widower of Selma Lee (Clement) Ravan.
He retired from J.P. Stevens and was a member of Inman First Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Winsome Sunday School Class.
He is survived by one son, Gary D. Ravan and wife Karen; one daughter, Judy R. Newman and husband Mike; two sisters, Ruth McMillan and Grace Comer; two grandchildren, Rev. Jason M. Ravan and Kevin A. Ravan.
Funeral services were held at Inman First Baptist Church, Inman, South Carolina, at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, August 13, 2007 with Rev. Jason M. Ravan and Rev. Chuck Byrd officiating. The Winsome Sunday School Class served as Honorary Escort.
Mausoleum Encryptment was in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Inman, South Carolina.
