DILLON [Dillon Co.]—William B. Alford, 72, of Dillon County and a veteran of World War I, died Friday night [August 25] in a Mullins hospital after a week's illness.

He was a son of the late B.A. and Mary Campbell Alford. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:30 p.m. from Bethea Funeral Home in Dillon and burial in Riverside Cemetery....

Mr. Alford is survived by one brother, J.C. [James Cousar] Alford of the home; a cousin [niece?], Miss Mack Alford, also of the home; one sister, Mrs. Sophea [sic] Wiggins of Columbia; and [article ends here].
