HORBAL: The death of Helen Edna Horbal (nee Reimer) occurred on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at the age of 76. Helen is survived by husband Mitchell and son Paul of Brandon; four brothers and one sister all of Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her parents Henry and Lena Reimer. Born in Winkler on August 25, 1934, she attended Schanzenfeld School and later Brooklands School in Winnipeg. In Winnipeg Helen was employed by Sanford and Evans and then Scott-Bathgate of Winnipeg. Helen married Mitchell Horbal at Weston Gospel Church in Winnipeg and their family was complete when their son Paul was born. Helen was a stay at home mom who enjoyed teaching Sunday School, assisting in the church office and volunteered with Brownies. The Funeral Service will be held at Bethel Christian Assembly, 440 Richmond Avenue, on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at 11:00 am, with viewing one hour prior to the service. Pastor Mike Davis will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jim Reimer, John Reimer, Ed Reimer, Abe Reimer, Rick Funk and Wes Funk. Interment will follow in the Brandon Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Bethel Christian Assembly Memorial Fund, 440 Richmond Avenue, Brandon, MB R7A 6E9.
