Alberta A. (MacIntosh) Duryea, age 91, of West Main Street (Grafton Manor),
Grafton, WV, the sweetest blossom among her flowers, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, July 23, 2011.
She was born November 27, 1919 in Harperville, NY a daughter of the late John Edward MacIntosh and Maude Amelia (Humpsted) MacIntosh.
Her beloved husband was the late Nicholas A. Duryea, who passed away on February 3, 1991.
She is survived by four children, David John Duryea, Sr. and wife, Shirley, of Grafton, Lorie Horrevoets and husband, Ben, of Middletown, NY, Frederick Theodore Duryea and wife, Jeanene, of Grafton, and Lee Montgomery and husband, David, also of Grafton. Alberta was blessed with 16 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren; also surviving is one sister, Irene Madden of Binghamton, NY.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ervin and Roy MacIntosh; and four sisters, Margie Armstrong, Pauline Robinson, Leona Phelps, and Doris Weber.
Alberta was a member of the Beulah Baptist Church since 2004. She was a beloved housewife, enjoyed her family, and also loved tending the flowers at Grafton Manor.
The family will receive friends at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home in Grafton on Monday, July 25, 2011 from 4:00 -8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Tuesday July 26.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Richard McDonald officiating.
Interment will follow at the Woodsdale Memorial Park Cemetery in Grafton.
