Photographer Dies, Rites Set
Funeral Wednesday for L.A. Van Horn 54

Leslie Andrew Van Horn a commerical photographer for more than 20 years, died Monday morning at the Hotel Dieu after a lengthy illness, He was 54. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. from the funeral home of Jacob Schoen and Son Inc., 3827 Canal, followed by a Requiem Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church. Interment will be in the Metairie Cemetery.

Mr. Van Horn operated Van Horn Photographers from his office at his home, 4320 Iberville.

He was a member of the Home Builders Association of Greater New Orleans, Professional Photographers Association, Young Men's Business Club of New Orleans, Optimist Club and several Carnival organizations.

Mr. Van Horn was honored by the Optimist Club for "outstanding civic work" in 1955-56.

He is survived by his widow, the former Vivan Lear, and his mother, Mrs. Alma Clerc.

Relatives and friends of the family, also employees of Home Builders Assoc. Fairgrounds Inc., L.R. Gaubert and Co., members of Optimist CLub are invited to attend the funeral. Services from the funeral home of Jacob Schoen and Son, 382 Canal St., at North Scott on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 1966 at 8:45 am with requiem mass at St. Andrew of Padua church. Interment in Metairie cemetery. Friends may call after 5:30 pm Tuesday.
