Earl, the 20 months old son of Mr. and Mrs. John Platenberg, farmers living seven miles north and west of Crofton, was drown in a watering tank, Wednesday afternoon of last week.
The child was found by his two brothers, Ralph and Harold, after he had been missing only about fifteen minutes. The lads carried him to his mother. A physician was called but resuscitation efforts were fruitless.
It is thought that the child's hat blew into the tank. While he was attempting to get it, he fell in.--Bloomfield Monitor
