John M. Majek Jr., passed away suddenly at his home on July 21, 2011.

Mr. Majek was the first born son to John M. Majek Sr. and Vlasta Kubala Majek on July 16, 1941 in Corpus Christi, Texas.

An artisan of many trades, Johnny founded the legendary Majek Boats in 1982. In his early years, he was a tile setter and commercial fisherman. As a man of various talents, he enjoyed fishing, NASCAR racing, vegetable gardening, wood working and building classic hot rods. A perfectionist by nature, he took great pride in his craftsmanship. He was always working on some project or another, right up to the day of his passing. He was a soul mate to his wife, a friend and hero to his children, a 'teacher' to his grandchildren, and an inspiration to his great-grandchildren. Many people would describe Johnny as a man who never met a stranger. He will be remembered for his prankish humor and as a person of many trades who mastered them all.
