Frederick A. Carr, 84, of 713 Innis St., died at 7:15 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, 2000, in Titusville Area Hospital.
Born Dec. 16, 1915, in Oil City, he was a son of Arthur and Emma MONKS Carr.
Mr. Carr was a graduate of Oil City High School and received his master's degree from California Polytechnic Institute in California.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and was a retired lieutenant colonel from the U.S. Air Force. After his retirement, he was a
teacher at the California Men's Colony.
Mr. Carr had resided in California for 40 years and had resided in the Oil City area for the past nine years.
He was a member of the F. & A.M. in Paxton, Ill.
Mr. Carr was married July 8, 1940, to Geraldine T. O'HARE, who survives in Oil City.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Karen A.) RAMSEY of Vallejo, Calif., and Mrs. Edward (Cynthia D.) KING of Los Osos, Calif.; one son, Frederick A. Carr II of Paso Robles, Calif.; and six grandchildren, Kyle
and Crystal King of Los Osos, Calif., Emily and Frederick A. Carr III of Paso Robles, Calif., and Pamela and Andy Ramsey of Vallejo, Calif.
He also is survived by one brother, James Carr of Honolulu, Hawaii.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Carr was preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. Betty Wolcott.
The Hutchinson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. There will be no visitation.
A full military service will be held in Los Osos, Calif., at the convenience of the family.
Interment will be in Los Osos Memorial Park in Los Osos, Calif.
